Excursions by Burgio: Perfectly Curated Week-Long Italian Experiences, Guided by Wine Professionals

Excursions by Burgio is dedicated to providing immersive and unforgettable wine experiences in picturesque vineyard settings. Our week-long, all-inclusive (excluding airfare) trips included transportation within Italy, lodging, meals, tips, classes and excursions. 

Our elevated enogastronomic experiences reflect the elegance and natural beauty of Italian wine, cuisine and culture. They are curated to cater to your love of wine, culinary experiences and cultural interests while exploring classic wineries or even discovering hidden gems off the beaten path. 

Each experience is hosted by a Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) diploma graduate and Certified Wine Educator (CWE) holder, offering expertise in a way few others can. Also, each will be limited to guests of eight or fewer for a more curated, private and exclusive experience. Enjoy the experience without the large groups and following the flags.

Our Story

After decades in the wine business and taking people abroad to experience the magic of Italy, we decided that we are in a unique position to guide people through key wine regions in Italy (especially with our connections to prestigious wineries). We strive to offer people the experience to enjoy world-class wines paired with traditional or innovative culinary delights and local cuisine, all while walking the vineyards during the day and resting in upscale hotels or classic villas every night. To elevate this experience, we also offer time to shop, tour cities, take cooking classes or relax at a spa. In short, we’re here to guide you through a complete enogastronomic experience with time to enjoy Italy at a relaxed pace, the way we have ourselves.

Meet Our President

Our President and resident wine expert, Anne Burgio, has an extensive background in the wine business. From running her own business to representing world-class wines – Anne has had 27 years of industry experience before starting Excursions by Burgio. She has worked in all facets of the industry, starting as a sales representative to founding and running her own wine import company, Snarky & Spirited.

Along with her extensive experience, Anne holds a Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) diploma. Only 180 people around the world obtain this degree each year and it has only been earned by roughly 10,000 people globally since 1950. She is also a Certified Wine Educator (CWE), a Mensa Member and a Fora Certified Travel Advisor.
